Fikir

Community Guidelines

Effective date: October 4, 2026

Fikir is a dating app for the Ethiopian and Eritrean (Habesha) diaspora. These guidelines describe how we expect every member to behave on Fikir, and how we respond when someone doesn't. They apply to everything you do on Fikir — your profile, your photos, your messages, your Spark videos, and any content you share with another member.

By using Fikir, you agree to follow these guidelines. We may suspend or permanently remove accounts that violate them. These guidelines are in addition to our Terms of Service and Privacy Policy.

1. Be yourself. Be 18+.

2. Treat every member with respect.

3. Keep Fikir safe and clean.

4. Don't scam, solicit, or market.

5. Protect everyone's privacy.

6. Report what you see.

If anything on Fikir makes you uncomfortable or breaks these guidelines, tell us. In the app, open the person's profile → tap the three-dot menu → Report or Block. You can also email us at team@fikirdating.app.

Our team reviews every report, typically within 24 hours. Reports are confidential — the person you report is never told who reported them. Blocking is instant and silent; the other person is not notified.

7. How we enforce these guidelines.

Depending on severity, we may:

Serious violations — content involving minors, credible threats, verified harassment, scams — result in immediate permanent removal without warning.

8. If you disagree with a decision.

If your account has been suspended or removed and you believe it was in error, email team@fikirdating.app with "Appeal" in the subject line and a brief explanation. We'll review and respond within 7 days.

Updates to these guidelines

We update these guidelines as Fikir grows and as new issues come up. The effective date at the top shows when they were last revised. Material changes will be announced in-app before taking effect.

Thank you for helping us build a safer, warmer, more real community for the Habesha diaspora. We're glad you're here.
